A thing called love

Couple-loveSaroj Wagle / Mar 01: What is love? How do I define the term? As a young man, I am curious. For me, love is so hard to define because it doesn’t exist as one thing. I can feel love for parents, friends, relatives, and pets. And I can feel love for the ‘special one’. Some ofus may direct our love toward gods or celebrities. Others direct love towards the country.

However, it is sad to say, in the name of love we take part in so many horrific relationships. Above all though, love is one of the profoundest emotions we experience as humans. That said, we do not have the control over how, when and where we feel this thing called love. This is probably why, studies show, 72 percent of people believe in love at first sight.

If you truly fall in love with someone, then your love is forever. After all, we still remember the love between Romeo and Juliet, even if it was only fictional.

To quote Helen Keller, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched—they must be felt with the heart.” After all, love is love, right? We should try and feel the real virtues of love rather than feel disenchanted with it.

People say that love is blind, but there is more to it. Where there is love there is life. People also say love is unconditional. Only, the thing is, you should try and feel that from the core of the very bottom of your heart. But the heart is fathomless.

Yes, we should feel the real beauty of love so that the world can be a better place to live in.

Because in the end, only love makes things beautiful. Love makes the world go round and vice versa. Source: The Kathmandu Post
