KMC to build smart parking

Kathmandu / Apr 25: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to construct smart parking in order to systematise the traffic in the valley.

Smart parking lot would be first constructed in New Road. Chief of KMC Public Private Partnership Mahesh Kafle said that the smart parking lots would be constructed in other parts of the valley based on the effectiveness of the first smart parking lot.

Kafle further said that the smart parking facility would be state of the art and the vehicle owners could ensure their parking spots prior to reaching the parking areas.

Only registered vehicles could be parked at the smart parking site since the censor in the parking would examine the vehicles for their registration. RSS
