NOC increases price of petrol, diesel and kerosene
Kathmandu / May 2: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of the petroleum products. The price hike will come into effect from Wednesday midnight.
Speaking to media, NOC spokesperson Birendra Goit said, “Petrol price has been increased by Rs 2 per litre, diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre each in 15 kilo metre distance within Kathmandu Valley.”
With the changes, petrol will cost Rs 108 per litre in Kathmandu Valley.
However, petrol will cost Rs 107.50 in Dang and Pokhara respectively, likewise, petrol will cost Rs 106.50 per litre all over Nepal except in aforementioned locations.
Similarly, diesel and kerosene each will cost Rs 90 per litre in 15 kilo metre distance within Kathmandu Valley and Rs 89.50 per litre in Dang and Pokhara respectively.
NOC spokesperson Goit further said, “Diesel and Kerosene will be available at Rs 88.50 except in above mentioned places.”
He further said that the prices of the cooking gas (LPG) and civil aviation fuel have remained static at Rs 1375 per cylinder and Rs 95 per litre respectively.
“With the revised rate in petrol, NOC will gain fortnight profit of Rs 100.55 million,” Goit said.
The price has been hiked as per the revised rates sent by the Indian Oil Corporation today.
