Pre-monsoon active, to continue for a few more days
Kathmandu / May 3: Monsoon activities remain active in the country since the past week since the pre-monsoon came into effect.
Moisture-laden winds originating from the Bay of Bengal and Westerly winds have resulted in a change in the weather conditions causing rainfall, according to the Weather Forecasting Division. As a result, many parts of the country are experiencing adverse weather conditions.
“The change in the weather and occurrence of rain is a result of the pre-monsoon becoming active since the past five days,” meteorologist Barun Poudel said. It will continue for few more days.
Change in the weather and light rainfall continues to take place in many parts of the country today as well. Pre-monsoon in Nepal is usually active from March to May while pre-monsoon rain from June 10 to September 23, but alters at times.
The maximum and minimum temperature of Kathmandu valley today is 27 and 16 degrees Celsius respectively, according to the Division. RSS
