Communications Minister stresses on quality information technology

Biratnagar, June 30: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota, has said that the new government has carried ahead works with new goal.

Addressing a programme after inspecting the Biratnagar-based Nepal Telecom office here on Saturday, Minister Banskota said, “The 21st century is the age of information technology and this service should be qualitative and effective.”

He noted that the trust towards the institution grows once the institution wins the hearts of the customers, and there is increment in revenue if the trust towards the institution increases which would make the Telecom stronger.

The Communications and Information Technology Minister urged Nepal Telecom to bring competitive plans in tune with the time.

He also urged the employees’ trade unions to work for the interest, welfare and growth of the institution.

On the occasion, Nepal Telecom east regional director Amarnath Jha briefed Minister Banskota about the status of various services operated by Nepal Telecom in the eastern region.

Before this, the Communications and Information Technology Minister made an onsite inspection of the Nepal Telecom office in Biratnagar. RSS
