Govt forms team to hold talks with Dr KC

Kathmandu, July 17:The Government has formed a three-member committee to hold talks with agitating doctor Govinda KC.
The committee led by Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Khagaraj Baral includes the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Gokul Prasad Banskota.
Also, the cabinet decided to enforce a mandatory online payment for workers and employees. Banking system will also be enforced in all government owned corporation, committee, projects and agencies with effect from July 17.
The government decided to form talks team to receive credit and grant assistance worth 163.9 million US dollars from the Asian Development Bank for the quake-resistant school construction project. The cabinet decided to designate Justice at the High Court Patan Kishore Silwal as the Chair of Revenue Tribunal Kathmandu.
The cabinet also endorsed the Geographical Information System Operation (first amendment) Directives, 2075, agreed in principle to the drafting of a new bill related to mass media, to table the bill designed to amend and integrate laws relating to passport in the federal parliament and to issue e-passport, according to Minister Banskota.  RSS
