Cable barriers installed at Muglin-Naryangadh road to prevent crashes

Narayangadh Mugling HighwayChitwan / July 23: The Narayangadh-Muglin Road Project has installed cable barriers at two sections of the road to prevent vehicles from falling into the Trishuli river.

Rohit Kumar Bisural, the project chief, said the cable barriers were installed at two accident-prone sites.

The total span of these cable barriers is 500 metres, and it was provided by Sichuan Highway Facility Manufacturing Company in China.

Two Chinese technicians had helped the project install the cable barriers. The installation completed in three days.

No roads in the country had cable barriers before this.

Project engineer Shiva Khanal said they would decide whether to install cable barriers at other sections of the Muglin-Narayangadh road only after seeing how effective and durable the current ones are. Courtesy: Ekantipur
