More than 2,000 civil servants recommended for action

Kathmandu, July 25: The National Vigilance Centre has recommended action against 2,339 civil servants, who were found absent from their duty station.

In the outgoing fiscal year, the centre found those employees either coming to office late or leaving early and not following the dress code, according to information officer Dolnath Aryal. “We have recommended departmental action against those found indulging in irregularities during a surprise check carried out last fiscal,” he said.

The centre had carried out surprise checks in 1,102 offices in 49 districts of the country. During the process, the centre also reviewed 1.052 citizens’ charter put by the government offices. RSS
