Kathmandu, July 30: The Tribhuvan University has begun using an arrears management software system in a bid to maintain financial transparency.
The software system named ‘Tribhuvan University central arrears information management system’ has been installed in 30 TU departments, said registrar Dilliram Upreti, who inaugurated the software amid a programme on Sunday. “There is a need to preserve TU’s financial discipline and transparency. Now with the system into operation, the budget will be stopped for a section failing to audit its internal and external transaction on time,” he said.
Deputy Auditor General Bibekananda Ghimire said the system would be fruitful in maintaining TU’s financial discipline, while urging all TU staffers to abide by its rules and procedures.  (RSS)
