Kathmandu, Aug 5: Following disapproval of the name of Deepak Raj Joshi to the post of Chief Justice, senior-most Justice of the apex court Om Prakash Mishra is set to assign the hearing.

Mishra is making preparation to take up the responsibility from Sunday after acting CJ Joshi is taking leave with the parliamentary hearing committee’s decision of rejecting him for CJ.

Meanwhile, the Acting Chief Justice has urged the government and Judicial Council for a fair probe through an independent body on his academic certificates since serious questions were raised over his academic credential.

Releasing a statement on Saturday, Joshi has urged for the remedy of the questions raised on his academic qualifications. RSS
