NSCIDC will have own exhibition hall soon

Book exhibition in BhrikutimandapKathmandu / Aug 10: The Nepal Small and Cottage Industry Development Committee (NSCIDA) will construct a SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) level exhibition hall.

The construction drive aims to promote products from the country’s small and cottage industries at international level, said a committee official. The hall project site is located in Battisputali in Kathmandu covering 11 ropanis of land, and the estimated cost is Rs 350 million. The six-storeyed building will have three halls, one big and other two medium.

The Committee has been organising small and cottage industry festival in the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall for want of its own building.

“Construction of the building will help in the development of small and cottage industry of the country,” said the Committee’s Spokesperson Bishwo Raman Acharya. The government has released Rs 21 million in the currency fiscal year for the building construction. RSS
