SC orders to present Bishwakarma at court within 48 hours

Supreme CourtKathmandu / Aug 13: Supreme Court has ordered to present Biplav-led NCP leader Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma at the court within 48 hours.

Following the hearing on a habeas corpus petition on Monday, the single bench of acting chief justice Om Prakash Mishra has ordered the government to present Bishwakarma with written clarification within 48 hours.

Son of arrested leader Bishwakarma, Narendra Bahadur Singh Bishwakarma had filed the habeas corpus petition at the apex court on Sunday, arguing that his father is being detained illegally.

Police arrested Bishwakarma from Dakshinkali on August 7 accusing him of disturbing peace in the society and indulging in extortion.
