‘Wider participation must for eradication of illiteracy’

Giriraj-mani-pokharelBardibas / Oct 2: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokharel has said the government’s lone efforts would not be enough in eliminating illiteracy from the country.

At a meet with CPN leaders and cadres at Gauridanda in Bardibas municipality-3 today, he called for all sections of the society to get involved in uprooting social anomalies.

He said that the endorsement of the Education Bill should be taken as an achievement. Cooperation from all tiers of governments, political parties, social sector and general public can only wipe out illiteracy from the country, he further said.

“All 15 bills related to the implementation of fundamental rights have been endorsed from the parliament and also got authenticated as stipulated by the Constitution. This is a great achievement made during the period the new government is in effect”, he added. RSS
