Won’t let fuel shortage happen during Dashain: NOC

Nepal Oil CorporationKathmandu / Oct 15: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), only state oil monopoly, has said that there will be no shortage of petroleum products during the Dashain festival.

Thankot depot has said that it has already distributed oil to all the oil storages in the capital that will meet the demands of the consumers throughout the festival.

“Thankot depot has kept 10 staffers standby who will deal with fuel shortage issues if any,” Bharat Regmi, Chief of Thankot Depot told Republica Online. “But we will not let fuel shortage happen during Dashain.”

The demand of petroleum products has gone down due to the people going back to their villages since the last week.

That is why the dealers have also stored less amount of fuel in their oil storages.

Bagmati Petroleum Dealers Association and Banepa Petroleum Dealers Association have been told to keep sufficient stock of fuel and keep private tankers standby to avoid possible shortage of the fuel, said Depot Chief Regmi.
