187 including 23 officials to face action for irregularities in army intake

Kathmandu / Nov 29: The Nepal Army has decided to take action against 187 army officials for their involvement in irregularities while recruiting soldiers.
The NA has decided to court-martial against those involved in irregularities in the years – 2073 and 2075 BS.
On May 20, a court of inquiry led by Brigadier General recommended court-martial for 187 army officials including 23 officers, informed The Directorate of Public Relations and Information.
A nine-member martial court led by major general had initiated legal procedures on October 23, recommending a fine of Rs 32.275 million along with various jail-terms for those involved in irregularities.
