Education essential to produce professional HR: PM Oli

PM Oli NewKathmandu / Dec 20: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the current Nepali education system has become like one producing unemployed people.

Taking part in a discussion on the draft report of the high-level national education commission today, Prime Minister Oli said education needs to produce the professional human resource. “Students should be enrolled to school, considering the need for human resource in the sector concerned,” he said.

The education in a developed country and the one in an underdeveloped country is always different.

At the meeting, the commission chair Minister for education, science and technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the commission shall determine the long-term education plan for the country.

Also speaking on the occasion, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis Bidya Sundar Shakya said that the private sector has taken education not as a service but as a business. RSS
