Nepal Police imports a high-tech van for crime investigation

police logoKathmandu / Dec 20: The Nepal Police has imported a ‘mobile forensic investigation van’ equipped with high-tech instruments which are believed to support the crime investigation process.

The Nepal Police Headquarters Kathmandu has handed over the well-equipped van to the Metropolitan Police Crime Division Teku today. The vehicle will help carry out crime investigation in a microscopic way.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal shared that the mobile van is appointed with modern equipment required for carrying out criminal investigations.

Handing over the key of the van to Metropolitan Police Crime Control Division Teku SSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh, IGP Khanal said it was the priority of the police organization to make it well-equipped with resources and means and high technology.

The van which was purchased at the cost of Rs 9.6 million is appointed with 16 types of investigation equipment worth amounting to Rs 4.6 million. RSS
