National Climate Change Conference from Dec 30

climateKathmandu / Dec 26: ‘National Climate Change Conference’- 2018 has been scheduled to kick off from coming December 30. The three-day event aims to make people’s representatives from across the country aware of the causes of climate change and its effects. The organizer is the District Coordination Committee Federation, Sindhupalchowk.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will formally inaugurate the event on December 31. Three people each from 77 districts will be participating in the conference. Experts concerned will appear in the event with their working papers on the issues of climate change.

According to conference main management committee coordinator Krishna Gopal Tamang, the conference will go through discussions on several climate change issues including of the provision of compensating the countries having no or the least role in the greenhouse gas emissions by the developed and industrial countries contributing much to carbon emissions.
