Japan’s foreign minister to arrive in Nepal in Jan 2019

flagKathmandu / Dec 28: Japan’s foreign minister, Taro Kono is scheduled to visit Nepal from January 9 to 10, 2019. Kono will arrive at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.

During the visit, Kono will pay courtesy calls on the President and Prime Minister of Nepal.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali will hold delegation-level bilateral talks with his Japanese counterpart. IT will be followed by a joint press briefing. Gyawali will host a dinner in honor of the visiting dignitary, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yoshiro Mori, Prime Minister of Japan’s visit to Nepal in August 2000 was the the first official visit by a Japanese Prime Minister.
