President Bhandari voices for including climate change issues in school curriculum

President Climate SummitSindhupalchowk / Dec 31: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has suggested including the issues of climate change and its adaptation in the school curriculum.

While inaugurating the National Climate Change Summit-2075 at Jyamire Guphadanda of Melamchi Municipality-9 in Sindhupalchok today, President said so.

She added that Nepal has clearly stated on the climate change issues and problems surfacing from it in international arena.

The Head of State also stressed on safeguarding the culture and nature while using the natural resources.

Similarly, Minister for Forests and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Minister for General Administration and Federal Affairs Lal Babu Pandit, former ministers Agni Sapkota and Sher Bahadur Tamang among others had extended best wishes for the success of the programme in the inaugural session.

The summit is organized by the District Coordination Committee Federation with managerial support from the DCC, Sindhupalchok around the slogan- ‘Clean Nepal, Healthy Nepali’.

The two-day Conference to be concluded on Tuesday aims to provide awareness on the climate adaptation planning. RSS
