Curriculum should be revised to produce skilled manpower : President Bhandari

President ConvocationntBiratnagar / Jan 3: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said education should be developed in a way it reflects time.

Inaugurating the silver jubilee celebrations function of the Purbanchal University here Thursday, President Bhandari suggested the University to reform the curriculum to make it timely what meets country’s need.

The university is the place of the knowledge and science, she said, adding that the education it provides should produce skilled human resources needed for industry, agriculture and tourism. Proper standard, plan and policy could be devised in view of the need of such human resources for country’s development, buttressed the President.

According to her, the knowledge centre could utilize the present time for the welfare of the people. She thanked those contributing to the physical and academic devel0pment of the Purbanchal University.

On the occasion, Province 1 Chief Minister, Sherdhan Rai, viewed that the Purbanchal University was rich in human resources and it should devote to producing the human resources the country needs.

Joint Chancellor of the University and Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel also suggested the University that time has come for it to mull how it could link its education to country’s prosperity.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ghanashyam Lal Das and Registrar Pramila Thapa shed light on various activities of the university.

On the occasion, Dr Das offered felicitation to the President. The President also unveiled a silver jubilee pillar of the University. RSS
