Provincial Minister invites NRNs home, urges Nepali diaspora to be one

NRNA-image-300x225London / Jan 3: The Minister for Internal Affairs and Planning of Gandaki Province, Kiran Gurung has urged Nepali residents in the UK not to fragment the diaspora by being politically active outside of the country.

For those who wanted to enter politics, Gurung requested them to come home and urged others to return home with skills, knowledge, technology, and investments to contribute towards Nepal’s development.

He urged NRNs to stop making citizenship the only issue. “NRNs will get citizenships after parliamentary proceedings. However, rather than just talking, we invite you to come home and contribute its development,” Gurung said.

Likewise, former parliamentarian, Narendra Kumal said that the government needed to step up efforts to guarantee better investment opportunities and allow NRNs to participate in Nepal’s elections.
