Paleti all set to resume from Friday

NepalayaKathmandu / Feb 18: Nepalaya’s micro event series, Paleti is all set to resume after an interval, on Friday. The first show of this series will be held this Friday, 22nd of February, Nepalaya said in a statement today.

Paleti series was first organised by Nepalaya in 2005 with the aim of presenting solo performances of music practitioners of yesteryears. Since then around 50 musical icons of Nepali music have graced the Paleti stage.

In the statement today, Nepalaya said, Paleti had been a regular event organised during the last Friday of the Gregorian month. From February 22nd onwards, Paleti will be staged at its regular venue, Nepalaya’s sala.

As the first theme-based show, the coming Paleti will delve into Women of Nepali Music and celebrate their contribution. The show has been titled–“Celebrating Women in Nepali Music.”

In this show, Meena will sing songs that will represent a parallel musical journey of Women in Nepali Music. The songs to be presented will start from Nepal’s first recorded female singer Melawa Devi to the present recordings of Nepali music, as stated in the statement.

The upcoming Paleti will be performed under the theme–Celebrating Women in Nepali Music. It will be narrated by Aavaas and presented by Meena Niraula. It will be organised at Paleti’s regular venue, Nepalaya’s sala at Kalikasthan during 22nd, 23rd and 24th February.

Ticket booking can be done through Paleti’s social media pages and through Nepalaya. Similarly, Online ticket can be purchased through www.thrupai.com, according to the statement.
