Minister Gyawali to leave for Geneva on Saturday

pradeep-gyawaliKathmandu / Feb 22: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali will head for Geneva tomorrow leading a Nepali delegation to the 40th Session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The Foreign Minister will attend the inaugural session of the Council on 25 February and he will address the Council on the 26 February, informed Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

Likewise, Minister Gyawali is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet on 27 February.

Similarly, the foreign minister will also visit the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and also take part in an interaction programme with the Non-Resident Nepali Association and Nepali community leaders.

The delegation including Chairman of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives and senior officials from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs will return home on 28 February.
