LP gas entrepreneurs withdraw protest

Kathmandu / Mar 5: LP Gas Industry Association has agreed to withdraw its protest and resume supplies of LP Gas including petroleum products.

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) and LP Gas Industry Association on Tuesday signed a three-point agreement, ending a standoff seen in the regular supply of petroleum products.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Prasad Yadav, according to which the committee formed earlier will study the demands put forth by the LP gas Industrialists and submit a report with 15 days.

Similarly, the ministry will also form a high-level committee to prepare a roadmap for a complete overhaul in the management of LP gas and petroleum products.

Likewise, the LP gas industrialists will have to purchase PDO and resume supplies by ending all forms of protests.
