CM Bhatta stresses on communications for development

Kailali / Mar 19: Chief Minister of Far-West State, Trilochan Bhatta, has said that the role of media persons was significant in encouraging people in development construction as per the wish of the people and nation.

Inaugurating the first gathering of Online Journalists Association Nepal at Dhangadhi today, Chief Minister Bhatta said that the achievements gained from different agitations and movements held for the change in the country would have no meaning if we failed to materialize them.

He urged the media persons to disseminate and publish factual and balanced news.

Similarly, State Assembly member, Bharat Bahadur Khadka expressed the belief that the state government would play a supportive role in the development and expansion of journalism.

Association Chair Umid Bagchan said that they have tried to establish accountable and disciplined online following norms and values journalism.
