126 new laws in a year: PM Oli

Kathmandu / Mar 24: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the enactments of 126 new laws demanded by the constitution in a year were the first record in Nepal’s parliamentary history. In his address to the House of Representatives ( HoR) session today, the PM reminded that within a year of the government formation, 126 laws were formulated and 13 acts and some of Nepal’s acts were amended.

According to him, good relations and co-operation have been cordially maintained among the central, state and local governments and a direction set for the enforcement of the constitution. The government is working to establish the rule of law by controlling corruption and crime that undermine democracy.

“We spent time to discuss how to implement people’s fundamental rights enshrined by the constitution, formulating polices and establishing the culture for the same. We have achieved inclusion and equity in a short span of time,” the PM asserted. RSS
