Madan Bhandari’s ideology still relevant, PM Oli says

Morang / Mar 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli remembered late leader Madan Bhandari to be a real hero of the Nepali society.

“His ideology is still relevant even after 25 years of his passing away, and the country has been moving ahead embracing his vision and ideologies,” PM Oli said inaugurating the silver jubilee ceremony of the Madan Bhandari Memorial Academy in Urlabari-3, Morang on Sunday.

On the occasion, Oli inaugurated the general assembly of the Academy and an engineering college and unveiled a monument. “The country will pursue development and good governance embracing vision of Bhandari,” said the PM.

He also stressed the need for all three governments-federal, provincial and local to come together to develop the Academy as he argued that development of the Academy that provides education to the people was the development of the society.

He also inspected the Madan Bhandari Museum set up here in memory of Bhandari. He spent around half an hour there viewing materials related to Bhandari including the wreckage of the jeep that was crashed and plunged into the Trishuli river at Dasdhunga in Chitwan killing Bhandari and another communist leader Jibraj Aashrit in 1993.

PM Oli was accompanied by Chairperson of the Academy Guru Prasad Baral, Chief Minister of State 1 Sherdhan Rai, state ministers and in-charge of Nepal Communist Party State 1 Bhim Acharya. RSS
