Nepal, a safe destination for travellers: MoCTCA
Kathmandu / Apr 22: Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Dhan Bahadur Budha handed over a flag of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) amidst a function organised on the premises of the ministry, on Sunday.
The NMA will be sending the flag to the top of Mt Everest this spring season, NMA’s president Santa Bir Lama said after receiving the flag. A team of climbers assigned by NMA will carry the flag and hoist the same at the summit point next month.

The government has decided to explore a message of air safety from the roof of the world presenting ICAO’s flag at the Mt Everest summit, according to minister Budha. The message of this campaign is: Nepal is a safe destination for world travellers. It has been expected that the message would also help promote the Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign in the world.
