Westerly wind likely to bring rains till Monday

Kathmandu / May 11: Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the country is likely to witness brief to moderate rainfall in the western and eastern hilly region owing to the Westerly wind.

The Westerly wind, low pressure belt that has developed in Rajasthan of India and local wind will cause brief rainfall in most of the parts including the Kathmandu Valley, said meteorologist Manju Basi. The rainfall will be coupled with thunderstorms, added the Division.

As per the Division record, the Kathmandu Valley witnessed minimum temperature of 17.4 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature of 32.3 degrees Celsius. Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi recorded maximum temperature in the country- 41.8 degrees Celsius. RSS
