Education minister vows to control anarchy in higher education

Kathmandu / June 24: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel on Monday admitted that there is anarchy in the country’s higher education.

The minister said so while responding to lawmaker’s queries in the House of Representatives. “The ministry is preparing to bring new laws to control the prevailing anarchy in the higher education,” he said adding that the universities have been plagued with many problems.

Several government panels are working to bring reforms in the medical education sector, the minister said. “The ministry is giving full shape to the High-level Commission on Medical Education Reforms,” he said.
