PM Oli defends govt’s plan to host IIFA awards

Kathmandu / July 5: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the decision made by the Parliamentary Committee on International Relations to direct the government not to host the IIFA awards.

Oli expressed his commitment to hosting the IIFA awards at an appropriate time.

“The government is ready to host the IIFA awards if it is to the advantage of the country to do so,” clarified PM Oli.

“If hosting the IIFA awards is detrimental to the national interest, the government will backtrack on its plan,” added Oli.

Meanwhile, Oli claimed that the decision made by the parliamentary committee is not sagacious. He accused the committee of making the decision to this effect in the light of rumors about the government’s plan to host the IIFA awards.
