NCC urges govt to enforce central info system as pilot project

Kathmandu / July 15: The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has urged the government to pilot the central information system based on the web from the next fiscal year. In a press statement issued by the NCC on Monday, it said that in a lack of knowledge among the entrepreneurs about operating this system, the system was not implemented.

The system, which is likely to come into effect from July 17, will have details of the cargo trucks used to import merchandise and distribute products within the country. The Department of Revenue Investigation is to enforce the system that will track the journey of shipment to streamline them and to prevent leakages.

The NCC, however, has drawn the attention of government towards the complexities surrounding the transportation within the town as the new system will be implemented for the cargo vehicles plying on the road in town. RSS
