Birendranagar to be made bicycle city

Surkhet / July 25: The Karnali state government has declared to make Birendranagar a ‘bicycle city’.

The government’s policies and programs brought for the fiscal year of 2018/19 has said that the government’s declaration in this regard aims to make Birendranagar environment-friendly and reduce carbon emission.

The Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers has bought the total 15 bicycles in a bid to encourage the use of a bicycle, said the government’s spokesperson Keshab Prasad Upadhyay. “We are distributing these bicycles to employees of the Office of Chief Minister,” he said. The bicycles were purchased for Rs 40,000 each. RSS
