Five-member panel formed to reform NAC

Kathmandu / August 7: Newly appointed minister of culture, tourism and civil aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has formed a five-member team to bring reforms in Nepal Airlines Corporation.

Led by Sushil Ghimire, former Secretary of the ministry of tourism, the team comprises of Chartered Accountant Pramod Karna, management consultant Dim Prakash Poudel, Pilot Sudhir Sumsher Rai and the tourism ministry’s Joint Secretary Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane.

The team is expected to come out with suggestions regarding the betterment of the national carrier. Minister Bhattarai stated at a press conference today that he has been in regular touch with officials from different levels across the corporation. He further added that he has discussed the airline’s business plans with the employees. Nepal Airlines will look forward to operating regular flights to different international destinations in China and South Korea.

The minister also added that the Nijgadh International Airport’s foundation stone will be laid within this fiscal year.
