NC will be ‘first party’ in next general election: General Secretary Koirala

Kathmandu / August 10: General Secretary of the main opposition Nepali Congress Shashanka Koirala has claimed that the party will regain its position in the next general election.

Speaking at a program organized in the capital on Saturday, leader Koirala assured that he will put his efforts to make NC as the first party in the next general election, unifying the party cadres. Stating that he is in politics to work for the people and country, leader Koirala expressed his commitment to transform the nation by establishing NC as the first party of the country.

Speaking in the same program, lawmaker Gagan Thapa opined that the government should change its way of working rather than changing the system of the state. He underlined the need for transformation in the political parties and its leadership rather than the system of the state at the time when political parties are blamed for their weak performance.
