Policy for Quality Education in last phase: Minister Pokharel

Biratnagar / August 21: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokharel shared that the preparation of Federal Education Policy aimed to enhance quality in the community schools was in the final phase.

Inaugurating the ‘Enhancing education quality in School’ campaign launched by Ministry of Social Development of State 1 government in Biratnagar today, Minister Pokharel reiterated that the policy was formulated in consultation with the parents, education experts, and stakeholders.

Informing that today’s meeting of the Council of Minister would decide on the vacancy to launch for teachers, Pokharel shared that teachers needed for the local level would be recruited by the local levels. He viewed that the quality of education in the community schools would perhaps improve if the government would provide them the grant on the basis of their track record.

Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Hari Prasad Dahal said that works were underway to provide quality and useful education. On the occasion, principals, teachers, and school management committee members from 14 community schools in State 1 had made a presentation on the activities conducted in their schools. RSS
