Nepal expects more Chinese investment, says NCP Chair Dahal

Kathmandu / Sept 7: Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged the Chinese government, traders and investors to invest in Nepal.

Addressing a program organized in the capital on Nepal-China Trade on Saturday, Chairperson Dahal opined that Nepal boasts an investment-friendly atmosphere following political stability. “In this context, Government of Nepal and Nepali people are expecting Chinese side to invest in Nepal as we are in a campaign of socio-economic transformation,” added Dahal.

On a different note, Dahal underscored that Nepal always adheres One-China policy. “We are committed not to allow Nepali land against China,” Dahal said.

Speaking at the occasion, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun stressed on the Public-Private Partnership model in coordination between Nepal and China for infrastructure development in Nepal.

Another speaker, Nepal’s ambassador to China Leelamani Poudel said that Nepal-China political, economic, social, cultural and people-level relation have reached a new height in the recent days.

The chief ministers from seven provinces, leaders of various political parties and entrepreneurs participated in the program organized by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal.
