NRB Issuing Treasury Bills Of Rs. 2.1 Bln

Kathmandu / Nov. 10: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing Treasury bills worth Rs. 2.1 billion on Monday.

The Public Debt Management Department under the central bank is to issue bills in order to obtain internal debt on behalf of the government.

The NRB is to sell 91 days’ Treasury bills worth Rs. 100 million and 182 days’ Treasury bill worth Rs. 2 billion through auction, according to the Treasury Bill Auction notice of the bank.

The bank called all the interested parties to submit their sealed auction trading application by 2 pm Monday.

The bidders should bid through Online Bidding System (OBS) only. Allocated amount will be settled through the NRB Bank Account, it said.

The bank said that the Treasury bills will be allocated on November 12 (Tuesday).

“Discount earning is taxable. Out of total offered amount, 15 per cent was reserved for non-competitive bidders,” the notice read.

Earlier, the NRB had issued Treasury bills worth Rs. 1.66 billion a week ago.RSS
