Cabinet appoints new members to PM’s Secretariat

Kathmandu / Nov 15: The Cabinet has today appointed Lal Shanker Ghimire as Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, Surya Thapa as the Press Advisor, and Gajendra Thapalia as Development Advisor.

Meanwhile, Bishnu Rimal, Rajan Bhattarai and Asgar Ali have been reappointed in their old capacity at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, according to a source close to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Rimal, Bhattarai and Ali had not resigned from their posts of Chief Advisor, Foreign Affairs Advisor, and IT Advisor to the Prime Minister respectively.

PM’s Press Advisor Kundan Aryal, Press Coordinator Chetan Adhikari, Photo Journalist Krishna Poudel are among six persons who have left the PM’s Secretariat.

It has been learnt that they had submitted their resignation, effective from mid-November.
