Constituencies will get ballot papers within three days: EC

Kathmandu / Nov 20: The transportation of ballot papers for the forthcoming by-election has begun.

Election Commissioner Narendra Dahal said that with the completion of the printing of ballot papers, the transportation began on Wednesday for the November 30 by-election.

All constituencies will get the ballot papers within three days. The election materials including the ballot papers would be handed over to the chief returning officer.

As the ballot papers and voter’s identity cards are sensitive documents, these are being transported by the Nepal Army.

These will be ferried by bus in the motorable places, while by helicopter in the remote places.

The Election commission is to begin the weeklong voters’ education programme from Thursday.

Every ward will get two trainers on voters’ education. RSS
