Agriculture ministry is my choice: Minister Bhushal

Bhairahawa / Nov 23: Newly-appointed Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ghana Shyam Bhushal on Saturday has said he took the helm of the ministry according to his choice.

Addressing a press meet at Bhairahawa Airport, Minister Bhushal reiterated that he chose the ministry based on his morality although many politicians rarely choose it.

“It will be my honest duty to focus the activities of the ministry on making policies, programs and budget which the government has introduced,” he said adding, “Moreover, I’d formulate policies to modernize the traditional pattern of labor in the agriculture sector.”

According to Bhushal, Prime Minister Oli and he had a common vision on various issues in the agricultural sector. “I opine that problems of the agriculture sector should be timely addressed, so does the prime minister, therefore I accepted his proposal of taking the charge of the ministry,” revealed he.
