Pokhara Street Festival from December 28

Pokhara / Dec 4: Restaurant and Bar Association (REBAN) Pokhara is organizing the 21st edition of Pokhara Street Festival from December 28 through January 1.

The festival is organized every year on the occasion of the Gregorian New Year.

The theme of the festival is ‘Let Us Eat and Enjoy in the Street’.

REBAN vice-president Laxman Baral said like in previous years preparations are afoot to making the event grand and successful this year also.

He is also the coordinator of the Festival Management Main Committee.

Addressing a news conference, Baral said the festival has become useful in multiple ways in promoting tourism in Pokhara.

Pokhara Tourism Council chairman Chiranjibi Pokharel expressed the belief that the festival will contribute to meeting the government’s goal of welcoming two million tourists in Nepal during the Visit Nepal Year 2020.

The festival will also feature cultural programmes depicting the art and culture of Nepal. RSS
