International Human Right Day observed in capital Impunity and crimes still in rise; Sharma

Kathmandu / Dec 10: The president of National Human Right Commission has expressed concern on increasing crimes and impunity in country today in program launched in occasion of 71th International Human Right Day in Kathmandu.

Addressing the program president of NHRC Anupraj Sharma has said that the impunity has not decreased even after issuing of Democratic constitution in nation.

He also expressed his concerns in the people representatives not being able to perform considerably who were sent to parliament by general public through general election.

He was also dissatisfied with the government on passing the bills of Media Council Act and Human Right Commission without discussing with the concerning bodies.

Sharma also said “behavior is the main power of Human Right Activists and are ready to fight with thought not with weapons.”

On the occasion of International Human Right Day rally was organized in capital today. The rally began from Badrakali ended at Peace Garden rallying across Sundhara and Bir Hospital.
