Kwatra New Indian Envoy To Nepal

Kathmandu / Jan. 15: Vinay Mohan Kwatra was appointed as the new Ambassador of India to Nepal. The local media reported on Tuesday.

Kwatra is currently serving as Indian ambassador to France. After former Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjiv Singh Puri retired last month, there were speculations as to who would succeed Puri.

Seasoned diplomat Vinay Mohan Kwatra had joined Foreign Service in 1988 and had served as a joint secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.

He has also served in Indian diplomatic missions in China and the US.
