Chinese embassy hands over medical aid to MoHP

Kathmandu / May 11: The Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu handed over medical supplies to the Ministry of Health and Population to fight the viral outbreak of COVID-19 on Monday.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yangi, amid a handover ceremony provided the medical materials to Minister for Health and Population, Bhanubaktha Dhakal.

According to the embassy, the medical supplies include protective masks, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), gloves and testing kits.

The materials had arrived in Nepal earlier on May 9.

The Chinese government has been showing solidarity with the Nepal government since the beginning of the viral outbreak in Nepal.

China has been providing medical support to countries across the globe after successfully containing the outbreak of Coronavirus in Wuhan Province.
