KOICA assists 50 thousand PCR kits

Kathmandu / June 16: The Government of South Korea has provided 50,000 RT-PCR kits to the Government of Nepal.

The assistance required for the novel cornavirus test was, on behalf of the Korean International Corporation Agency (KOICA), handed to the government officials amidst a programme here today.

Dr Rajan Pokhrel, Chief Health Advisor of Ministry of Health and Population and Chief of Health Coordination Division, received the assistance from the South Korean Embassy’s Chargé d’ Affaires.

In the first lot, South Korea handed 25,000 kits and remaining will be given on coming Saturday, the KOICA said. The assistance is equivalent to Rs 625 million.
