426 new COVID-19 cases confirmed, 214 discharged; tally reaches 8,274

Kathmandu / June 19: The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed 426 new cases of COVID-19 today.

As many as 426 people including 338 males and 88 females were found with virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

The new cases were detected in districts such as Jhapa, Morang, Sarlahi, Saptari, Gulmi, Achham, Baglung, Baitadi, Bajhang, Bajura, Dadeldhura, Dhading, Doti, Gorkha, Kailali, Kaski, Kathmandu, Makwanpur, Morang, Myagdi, Nawalparasi (East), Sindhupalchowk, Parbat, Sindhuli, Syangja, Kaski and Baglung.

Meanwhile, 214 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospitals in the last 24 hours.

With this, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 8,274 with 1,402 cases of recovery and 22 death cases.
