Tibet’s Shigatse city provides medical supplies worth Rs 2.7 million to Bharatpur

Chitwan, July 31: Shigatse city of Tibet province of China has donated Rs 2.7 million worth of medical appliances to Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Amid a program held in Chitwan, the representatives of Shigatse city and members of Nepal Immigrant Chinese Association handed over medical equipment to Gopal Krishna Neupane, the advisor to the metropolis.

The donated medical appliances include 1000 pieces KN 95 facemasks, 50,000 pieces surgical masks, 800 RDT kits, 100 PPE, 1,000 pieces medical face shields and 4,000 pieces surgical hand gloves. Mayor of the metropolis Renu Dahal hailed medical support from China’s Tibetan Autonomous Region. She expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for providing the support in the battle against COVID-19 in Nepal.

Earlier, Gurmu City of China had donated medical appliances to the metropolis to deal with the coronavirus infection.
