COVID-19 update: 1,024 new cases and 10 fatalities

Kathmandu, Dec. 5: With 1,024 new cases of novel coronavirus confirmed on Thursday, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 239,885.

“As many as 1,024 persons were found to have been infected with SARS-CoV-19 in the last 24 hours,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its update.

Moreover, as many as 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours and with this, the national COVID-19 related death tally has reached 1,577.

460 fresh Covid-19 cases in Kathmandu

A total of 460 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported from the three districts of Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.

Of the new cases, 204 are females and 256 are males.

The number of active cases in Kathmandu at present is 5,651 while those of Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are 1,128 and 493 respectively.
